Enjoy These Holiday Snacks This St. Paddy’s Day

Snacks

St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, and when March 17 rolls around, green will be the color du jour.  It’s what people wear. It’s what people decorate with. And it’s what our food should look like. (Hint: put green food coloring in everything you make.) Here are some more recipes you may want to try. Enjoy these holiday snacks this St. Paddy’s Day.

Leprechaun Hat Cookies

These are relatively easy to make. Here are the ingredients: marshmallows, a smooth round firm cookie, green candy melts, shortening, black fondant, and gold cake sequins.

Shamrock Pretzel Pops

To get started on Shamrock Pretzel Pops, get a bag of mini pretzels, green candy melts, confetti sprinkles, lollipop sticks, and wax paper.

No Bake Mint Chocolate Chip Shamrock Cheesecake

If you skipped down to this one, we don’t blame you. Here are the ingredients you will need to make this mouth-watering recipe: ten Oreos (pulsed into crumbs), twelve ounces of cream cheese (one and a half and packages softened), three tablespoons of sugar, one quarter teaspoon of peppermint extract, half of a cup of Cool Whip, green food coloring (it is St. Patrick’s Day after all), mini chocolate chips (for topping), and mint chocolate chip shamrock marshmallows (optional but, why wouldn’t you?).

St. Patrick’s Day Fruit Skewers

Not every St. Patrick’s Day day snack requires food coloring. Mother Nature takes care of that for you in this recipe. Plus, it’s relatively healthy. It’s basically any green fruit you can think of: Granny Smith apples, pears, honeydew melons, kiwi, grapes – anything you want.

Lucky Charms Krispie Treats

If ever there was a cereal that was appropriate for St. Patrick’s Day it’s Lucky Charms. Use them to make Rice Krispie Treats then cut them into clover shapes – it doesn’t get any more St. Patrick’s Day than that.
