Take A Fall Stroll

Young couple in a parkAs summer comes to an end, and fall starts to blow in, the weather cools down and makes for perfect long walks. Of course, a stroll on the beach is lovely, but there are many other great locations for a nice walk. Below are a few suggestions of spots for a fall weather stroll in Myrtle Beach.

The Market Common

The Market Common is a place just a few blocks from the beach that has a multitude of recreational activities. Walking, biking, playgrounds, and fitness trails are not in short supply and provide a great community of activity. The mile-long path snakes around Grand Lake for a scenic background and offers plenty of shops, restaurants, and parking.

Myrtle Beach State Park or Huntington Beach State Park

Either of these two stunning state parks are perfect for a fall stroll and some adventure. The trails go on for miles with hundreds of species of animals. With the small admission, you are sure to stay away from crowds and have a peaceful stroll.

Brookgreen Gardens

If you are looking for a bit more on your fall stroll, head to Brookgreen Gardens. This beautiful attraction is the largest outdoor collection of American figurative sculpture in the world. There is an admission fee, but a stroll in the fall with historic sculptures is well worth the extra money.

Vereen Historic Memorial Gardens

Many consider Vereen Gardens a hidden gem. These gardens have three miles of trails and boardwalks to travel on that lead guests to scenic salt marshes and tiny islands. You might even get to see a wedding on your stroll. Visiting the gardens is free, and it is located just south of the North Carolina border.
