If you’re searching for a great date night idea, enjoy a beautiful Italian getaway without leaving Myrtle Beach when you book a table for two at Villa Romana Italian Restaurant.

About Villa Romana

The team at Villa Romana has been serving exquisite Italian cuisine on the beach since 1985. The Owner and the Executive Chef — Rinaldo and Franca — opened the restaurant with the hope of presenting one of the most interesting Italian menus in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. According to their patrons, they’ve succeeded in doing more than just that. One reviewer even commented, “I’ve never tasted such delicious Italian food and my family is Italian.”

The Décor at Villa Romana

One of the main things you’ll remember about your date to Villa Romana is the feeling of escaping to an Italian getaway. The team put in a lot of effort to create an atmosphere that transports you to a seaside eatery in Rome. The décor inside Villa Romana is inspired by traditional Roman architecture.  The dining area surrounds a bubbling fountain at the center, and the space is scattered with Roman style statues and columns. If you look up, you’ll see chandeliers that create soft ambient lighting hanging from the ceiling. And, that’s not all. On occasion, you’ll find an accordion player there to entertain you with a few tunes.

The Menu at Villa Romana

Once you’ve taken in the sights of Villa Romana, it’s time to experience the flavors. The kitchen staff prepares everything on Villa Romana’s menu from scratch and the fresh ingredients make the robust flavors even more vibrant. For your starter, try the Melanzana Arrotolata — a hand-breaded, fried eggplant that is stuffed with ricotta, parmigiana, and fontina cheese. If eggplant isn’t quite what you’re craving, order a Shrimp Cocktail served on a bed of Fresh Greens with cocktail sauce. Choosing an entrée will be hard. If you’re in the mood for seafood, give the Stuffed Flounder Alla Primavera or the Shrimp D’oro a try. If you’d rather chow down on something more traditional, the Ravioli with Cheese and meat sauce is delicious. Whatever you try you are bound to love.
