The GR Corolla’s 1.6-liter, three-cylinder engine emits 300 horsepower, and only comes with a manual transmission and all-wheel drive. With road-hugging handling and power to spare, the GR Corolla makes every drive — no matter if it’s highway miles, hairpin turns, or just going out to run a quick errand — a load of fun. Pick the Core trim level and choose the Performance package to add front and rear limited-slip differentials to the GR Corolla. This version of Toyota’s popular compact car isn’t made for fuel efficiency. Instead, the GR Corolla is about performance, and you’ll feel the difference when you get behind the wheel.
A Familiar Feeling
The GR Corolla cabin will feel familiar to most drivers, as it shares much of its interior with the standard Corolla hatchback. That means you’ll get excellent build quality, soft-touch materials, and plenty of features. The difference is that the GR Corolla offers racier trim and sport seats. Standard equipment on the GR Corolla includes ambient interior lighting, aluminum pedal covers, a six-way adjustable driver’s seat, and push-button start. For the Circuit Edition, the GR Corolla comes standard with automatic climate control, heated seats, and a heated steering wheel. The Circuit Edition also comes with upgraded upholstery, meaning suede and faux-leather upholstery instead of cloth. The Morizo Edition asks you to throw all compromise to the wind in pursuit of the most performance possible. Toyota has removed the rear seat, rear speakers, and even the hatchback-mounted window wiper to save as much weight as possible for the Morizo Edition. The front seats of the Morizo feature exclusive red-and-black upholstery as well as faux-suede on the shift knob, parking brake lever, and steering wheel.
